Design + Build
Civil Solutions functions as a prime contractor and occasionally as a subcontractor. While we occasionally build projects that were designed by others, our primary focus is design + build projects. When our team designs the project, we can build it better, faster, and more cost effectively than others with fewer change orders and reduced cycle times because we own the relationship. We are passionate about construction, and communications within our team promote efficiency and excellence.
Christopher Schmitt, P.E. - VP of Engineering
Welcome Christopher Schmitt, P.E., to Eastern Sierra Engineering!
We’re proud to have Christopher Schmitt, P.E., serving as our Vice President of Engineering.
Chris brings over 18 years of diverse civil engineering experience spanning site development, roadway design, municipal infrastructure, and underground construction. His career includes successful delivery of complex projects for both public and private clients across the western U.S., with a strong focus on community-driven design and long-term performance.
He is known for his practical approach, technical expertise, and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of engineering—from concept and design to construction management. Chris has overseen marquee infrastructure improvements for cities, counties, and utility districts, with particular strengths in civil site design, stormwater management, and transportation systems.
In addition to his civilian work, Chris proudly serves as a Civil Engineering Officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, where he continues to lead and support critical infrastructure missions.
